custom cases

So most of these are actually quite terrible (in my opinion) but some of them are actually kind of cool. kind of… Though I still like my Pantone case by Case Scenario. Have a look at Moti Zemelman’s Etsy, he’s got over 100 iPhone cases.

writers wreck their tools

Here’s a brilliant project by a brilliant dude. RISD Graphic Design MFA candidate, Dylan Greif has made a bajillion perfect replicas of iPads for his thesis project, Writers wreck their tools, and you can see the process on his blog (which is a great blog by the way). Love the concept, love the craft, love the pantone mug he’s using, love the energy. Keep up the good work Dylan!

fonts in use

So ever since I was going through all my sans serif typefaces to pick one for my degree project, and I noticed the lowercase f and k looked familiar in the typeface Klavika, and suddenly realized why I recognized it (facebook logo!), I’ve been thinking about identifying typefaces from things we see all the time. Then I remembered about this cool site, fonts in use, whose mission it is to point out which typefaces are used on things! Thought I’d share. They have a pretty cool interface, nice big pictures, a bit of history, and links to just about everything. Go check it out!

less but better

So you guys already know I’m obsessed with Dieter Rams. I was googling, and I came across these nice little posters for an exhibit from last year in Dublin. That’s not important. I just liked the posters. Also the other images, (thanks google). And I felt like honoring one of my idols today. I put all the files as click-through to the full size images, in case you’re like me, and like posting them at high res somewhere.

trance organisms

Okay this is actually really fun! Also, it’s electronic music, so I obviously like it :P It’s this project by seaquence, in which you get to look at these funny little organisms swim around, but they are actually manifestations of digital music patterns, which you can manipulate and change, isolate, or multiply. Really quite fun! Go take a look around!
