I want to start off by saying you guys have been incredibly patient! I’ve been scrambling to find an apartment in NY for the duration of my internship (no easy feat) and I’ve been really too busy to post anything. I’m pretty sure within the next two weeks or so I’ll get back on a normal schedule.
This house is awesome (though I would prefer to live in a city to an empty desert). It’s called Four Eyes House, designed by Edward Ogosta Architecture. It’s in Coachella Valley, California, (near LA). It’s called four eyes because of the “four towers dedicated for sleeping are oriented towards spatiotemporal experiences including the morning sunrise in the east, southern mountain range, evening city lights to the west and the celestial sky overhead.” Published, appropriately, on The Modernist UK.

Hey lovely readers! Sorry for the long break between posts! I have now officially graduated from RISD, and my sister has graduated from high school! I am home in beautiful, sunny California, and mostly unpacked :P (emphasis on mostly…can’t unpack boxes till I know where I’ll be semi-permanently.)

Well I accidentally woke up at 6:20 this morning and after about half an hour of failing to fall back asleep I decided to make myself useful. I pulled out the acrylics I packed yesterday and I’m working on painting my mortar board. The only problem is I’ve had to do like fifty coats because it keeps sinking in when it dries and disappearing…
Update two hours later. Well it could be better, but it is what it is :P
Yeah, I don’t think those are going to fit. I just have so many books! Keep trying though! (Geez it looks like I haven’t made any headway! I’ve been bouncing all around my apartment taking things off the walls and disassembling shelves etc) PS Why do pictures of messiness always look messier than the room seems in real life?
