So clearly I was not the only one who thought to Instagram my “I Voted” sticker this morning. Trending on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, it’s apparently the fashion to document one’s voting experience. There’s even an article that archives them all! Check it out! I’m in there :) Also, people at work are bartering already for the best “I voted” stickers, because they’re not all the same. I saw a very funny tweet this morning regarding the poor typographical choices of the “I voted” stickers. Maybe we should campaign to redesign them. Go vote everyone! The youth vote is so important!
Font Fabric has some free typeface downloads for us today. Everybody loves free. Recently I’ve been trying to design some advertisements in Chinese, which is far out of my comfort zone, and my supervisor suggested I go download some more interesting typefaces than the ones Adobe provides, and you’d be surprised how much of a difference it can make. Enjoy these festive, exotic selections! Font Fabric is a great foundry.

I struggled to track down the design team who birthed this beautiful identity, but there’s plenty of literature about the coffee itself. Seems people are more interested in the quality of the coffee than they are of the design. Obviously people haven’t learned that almost all graphic designers choose their products based on the design first and content later :P (just kidding, it matters how it tastes/works too).
Bow Truss Coffee, first discovered on Uncrate, is designed by Chicago-based Doejo, a digital agency. learn more on their website.

Read more about it on Tech Crunch (quoted below). Google has one-upped itself today with another fantastic interactive haunted house Google Doodle. Go check it out! (Archive)
“There are five doorways, each with a ghoul of some sort hidden inside, including a ghost, a mummy, an octopus (?), some googly eyes (get it?), and um…a sinister purple square with a big set of teeth, ready to chomp you. Also interactive: the spider, crow, skeleton, and black cat. Of course, the house with the lucky address “13″ sits right in the middle. Moans and “oooooooo’s” and “meeeeeows” make up the doodle’s soundtrack, so turn your volume down if you’re checking this out surreptitiously from your cubicle at work.” — Tech Crunch
