Honey honey honey

Here are some lovely Mieles del Desierto de los Andes (Honeys from the desert of the Andes) of Argentina. Designed by Juan José Marnetti. My favorite part? the way the hexagon is echoed not just as a print/pattern, but also in the shape of the jar. Design from head to toe. Lovely, appropriately hosted on aforementioned favorite package design blog, Lovely Package.

dream kitchen — well, house, actually

About two weeks ago I went to the Designer Showcase in Marin, this year it was a $45 Million home in Belvedere, CA. Well mostly it was a $5 Million home with a $40 Million view :)

Anyway, dream kitchen!! Minimal, stainless steel more than 4 burners and red knobs. Want! Also the kitchen sink faces a window that recesses into the wall on a sliding electric track so you can look out into the broad open Bay without glass in your way! (design ideas for my future home when I have a salary… also that’s me in the picture) PS pet peeve that wordpress changed the Em Dash — in the title of this post to a hyphen – booooo used incorrectly!

Space for Imagination

Pastoe, the Dutch furniture manufacturer, recently published a book commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Vision cabinets, designed by Pierre Mazairac and Karel Boonzaaijer.

“We wanted something that would exist in a home like a wall that plays with space, volume and line,” they say. And it certainly does that! Nicely minimal, unusual, and distinctive, it would brighten the home of anyone wishing to be interesting in any way! I know once I have a salary I would definitely love to have this in my home! *another one for the running wishlist :P

My kind of people

Kontor Kontur, a Swedish design firm with more work than just photographs of color coded objects, obviously, but I just was quite attracted to these, as they reflect my own Collection, to which I have referred you on a few ocassions. This may be the most exquisite I’ve seen in a while.
