um… I think I have too many books

My collection of Design books don’t all fit in one box… And that other box is full of tool boxes of art supplies. and the drawer thingy, and the pile next to the book shelf. And I haven’t gone to studio yet. This is just what’s in my room…. Wow, four years of art school you collect a lot of stuff! I can’t imagine what people who studied three dimensional majors are dealing with. At least all my projects are flat! Someone wish me luck because I have my work cut out for me!

how nerdy cool are you adobe?

Check out these Adobe Creative Suite Pillows :P (It’s one of those cases of “I could do better than that! they’re not worth 15 bucks,” but then you never get around to making it, so, if you want it, you might as well buy it haha) But they’re still fun. I like stuff that’s very obviously nerdy designer (like my pantone iphone case woop). Only, as I’m sure you’ve figured out by now, this is too rainbow for my future house, which will be in neutrals with red accents :) Enjoy!

75th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge

Though admittedly, if I were in California this weekend, and not still at RISD, I’d be with my family up in Yosemite, and not home, I still feel it is important to honor the 75th birthday of my favorite bridge in the world, The Golden Gate Bridge. May 27 marks 75 years!!! They celebrated with fireworks etc. You can go read about it here if you’re interested.

(apparently the people walking on the bridge is from the 50th anniversary)

stained glass pantone door

Well this might be too multicolored for my future home, but I love the idea, and the light effect it creates is absolutely gorgeous. Stained Glass door created by Armin Blasbichler Studio, entitled T III: Inception Door. You can read more about it here.

pictures from the presentation

I haven’t gotten a chance to photograph the work for my portfolio yet, but here are some pics of the presentation room. Believe it or not, my iPhone is a better camera than my pocket canon powershot SD1100 from three years ago. All my process pics are from my phone and they look a lot better than these from my camera… noise reduction filter does not work at allllll. It’s fine or people pictures but for photographing work it pretty much sucks. So I’m on the look out for a new one :) So ignore the quality of these photos and look past it to see the work… if you can.

For those of you who are worried that now I’m done with school I’m done with posting, never fear! I will continue to post cool stuff I find and stuff I’m working on so stick around k?
